Dear Fellow Men’s Shed Members

I am writing to you on behalf of the Motorcycle Men’s Shed to express our heartfelt thanks for your outstanding support and participation in our recent Toy Appeal.

Because of your generosity, dedication, and skilled workmanship, many underprivileged children were able to receive a special Christmas gift. For children facing difficult circumstances through no fault of their own, your kindness brings joy, dignity, and a powerful reminder that their community cares deeply about them. The impact of your efforts cannot be overstated.

The Toy Appeal was an overwhelming success and would simply not have been possible without your involvement. Through this collective effort, toys were donated to Starick Refuge, Orana House, Perth Children’s Party, Fostering Hope Australia, and Grandcarers WA—organisations that receive little or no government funding and rely heavily on the generosity of community groups like ours.

This year’s appeal brought together 23 local Men’s Sheds across both metropolitan and regional areas, contributing more than 450 toys. We delivered the toys personally by Motorcycle Men’s Shed riders to the charities to reinforce the strong sense of connection and care behind every donation.

We were proud to receive contributions from 23 Men’s Sheds, and we hope to expand to other sheds this year. This remarkable level of participation truly highlights the strength and generosity of the Men’s Shed community.

As a small token of our gratitude, a Certificate of Appreciation will be mailed to you in the coming days. We are pleased to confirm that we will be running this project again this year and will be in touch soon with further details.

Finally, thank you all for your enthusiasm, kindness, and unwavering support of this worthy project. Your actions make a real difference, and they make me immensely proud to be a member of this wonderful organisation.

MCMS Lyle Housiaux Chairman

With sincere thanks and best wishes to you all.
